I would like to start by apologizing for that gap of information in the site over the past few months. Personal issues beyond my control prevented me from keeping the site up to date. The site has now been cleaned up and the forums are being monitored again. You may notice that the 'News Archive' page is currently not displaying correctly, it's caught in 'limbo' between loading a corrupted saved draft and is remaining published at the same time. It is an issue that I am currently working on and I hope to have it up and running corrrectly again A.S.A.P.Now on a different note many of you already know that in the past day EA have announced that The Sims 3 will not be shipping until 2nd June 2009 as oposed to the orginal expected release date 20th February 2009. The community is very displeased with this as a whole which is completely understandable at the moment considering the very short notice EA gave players who were expecting the game. With jsut over 2 weeks to go until the release date many Simmer across the world were exceptionally disapointed to hear that they will have to wait another 118 days until release.I think everyone was expecting a delay which is normal for video game companies when a game is not yet complete but it's the short notice that seems to be getting to the players. For the next 4 months we will all just have to go back to scanning for news or announcements from EA and enjoying the release of new info and screenshots. I will continue to post all confirmed information here. I am also going to be adding a 'Facts (Unconfirmed' page which will have gossip and unconfirmed leaked info abou the game. When EA then confirms the info it will be moved to the 'Facts (Confirmed)' page and information taht is proven to be false will remain on the page in a 'False Rumors' section. Although I am against posting unconfirmed info here on the website because it is named The Sims 3 Facts for a reason I do think it will be beneficial for the players to see features that are not true. Hopefully this will keep false hopes to a minimum and people know what the game is really about and what features are true and false. With all this said I will leave you with one final thought......only 16 weeks to go.....I'm sure it seems like an eternity at the moment but before we know it it will be summer and we will have out beloved The Sims 3 in our arms at last. (unless of course it's delaed a second time ).Regardsthesism3factsOwner: DanHappy Simming!
Wow, what can I say? I think we were all expecting to see The Sims 3 given a release date set for some point in very late 2009 and then delayed for months after. I was shocked to see that it is set for release in February 2009. That's less than six months away. In fact it's the same time that the Sims 2 expansion would have been be released. I remember thinking we could have to go up to a year and a half with no The Sims 2 expansions or The Sims 3 released. It looks like it's just another standard 6 month wait. There has also been a constant stream of new screenshots coming since the GC event where many fansites went camera happy and took hundreds. The control panel is reminiscent of that of Sim City Societies and the Spore Creature Creator. It's a shiny dark blue and is similar to the Windows Vista toolbar. The layout looks a lot neater and easier to navigate through. We have also learned that there will be a collector's edition of The Sims 3 released that will include a USB flash drive with a plumbob design, a tips 'n' tricks guide and some stickers. it will be a limited edtion bundle only available whilst stolks last. It is a vailable as pre-order on Amazon.com for $20 extra than the original game.So that's all I can blog about for today but watch this space as our knowledge of The Sims 3 begins to grow.
Hey people, well it's been a long almost 2 months since this website has been updated. Don't blame me though, I haven't seen an ounce of new info. I didn't see the point in updating polls and blogs when peoples main interest on this site is news. After 2 months of this lack of news I just gave up on updating polls and blogs which is very time consuming. It was actually good timing as I just bought a new laptop from which I'm now running the website so I had time to transfare the files from my old desktop to this laptop.Just today we received a huge 4 page preview with bucket-loads of new info. I don't know about you but it really has me excited So we have about a year to go until The Sims 3 is released which I am expecting will fly by. Before we know it it will be on the shelves ready to be installed on PC's everywhere. So for now it looks like the website will be back in action. I'll stick around giving you the latest news.......tty soon
