The Sims 3 Facts

During February 2008 I was searching the internet for news on The Sims 3. I found a few bits of info and as the weeks progressed I found more. I was logging all of the information I found in a Word document to keep track of the information. I then had a thought. "What if I were to create a simple website and share all of the facts on The Sims 3 as the are revealed"?

The Sims 3 Facts was establihed on the 9th February 2008 and has since been updated with all of the latest news.

The Sims started way back in 2000 when a game that was supposed to allow Sim City players to go to the suburbs and control their very own Sim family and build their homes created by Will Wright. The game was more of a success than ever thought possible. It spawned a shockingly successful 7 expansion packs and various bundle editions. The game became "The No.1 Selling PC Game Of All Time".

Then in 2004 The Sims 2 was released with all new 3D graphics and more in-depth gameplay. Possibly the most anticipated feature was the DNA and aging sims allowing the player to bring their Sim from the cradle to the grave. Giving the players another 7 expansion packs and 7 Stuff Packs, the game is now The 2nd best selling PC game of all time only behind The Sims 1.

The Sims 3 website opened on 6th March 2008 and the game is to be announced on 19th March 2008. So far some of the confirmed features are, the player no longer has to endure loading screens when moving around the neighbourhood, Sims now have a less complicated motive system to allow more time for socializing and moving around town. Other features include a drastically improved Create-A-Sim mode and more customizable objects. It was later announced that The Sims 3 would be released worldwide on 20th February 2009.
